I admire your idea of reading the nominated books, I hope they all ..."Thanks Ioana! I had read a few of the nominated books but not many. I didn't limit myself to the winners only because some of them just didn't interest me. Anyway if I finish this list I should have 2022 covered.
Bill wrote: "There are so many great series out there and it's difficult to keep up with them. I like this challenge so much."I wish I could claim that this challenge had a noble goal like keeping up with my series reads. Unfortunately, this is more like series gluttony. Your phrasing sounds better though. Yeah, sure we'll go with that - keeping up with series.

Thanks, Lea! I've heard so many good things about Thursday Murder Club. I can't wait to give it a try. I love the Li Du series so far so I feel sure I will like City of Ink. I liked the first two in the Kiss Quotient series but if I remember correctly I will have to be super careful not to blast my audiobook out to everyone accidentally. It is that kind of romance book.

Thanks Jennifer!

Thank Carolien! I'm looking forward to both of those

You're probably right Jennifer
Alissa wrote: "Love this list! I have 4 books on this list that I plan on reading in 2023 as well.
Happy reading!"Thanks Alissa! I'll be looking for your reviews. Hopefully those 4 will be overlooked for both of us.

Just for discussion. Why are all books a series these days? Seriously there are no standalone books anymore. I love series they are like comfort food but it seems like every book published is a series now. Maybe standalones will be my next year's challenge.

I know this is crazy for me since I don't think I have ever read all 16 books on one of these annual reading challenges but I'm putting up two lists this year. I wanted to read the Goodreads Choice Nominees, but I also wanted to do a series challenge. Yes, all of you how-soon-can-we-make-next-year's-listers this is what happens to me when I think about it too long. So this is my series challenge but not all of them are the next book in the series. Some of them are starting new series. I did say I had seriously lost it. Most of these are like book candy for me so hopefully this challenge will go quickly.

The oth..."I'm definitely hoping for more overlooked than over-rated. I'll look forward to your reviews on some of these too.

I always love looking through the list of books that are nominated for the Annual Goodreads Choice award. There are always tons of them that I meant to read but never got around to. Sometimes these books are the ones that everyone seems to love but I just never seem to get back to. Other times these are books that I was excited about but when the hype died down I forgot about them. So whether the books were overlooked or over-rated, I never seem to find time to read them. Not this time. I made this list from the 2022 nominees for the Goodreads Choice awards. In addition to a review and the traditional star rating, I'm going to decide if these books were winners that I overlooked or stinkers that were over-rated.

Nice list Lea! I love the variety. I see myself reading some of these in the future when you start posting your reviews.

I love that you used the GR ratings to make your list. I look at that sometimes when I'm trying to decide whether to read a book or not. It will be interesting to see if you agree with the ratings. I'll be watching for your review.

Great list Lillie! I've read 5, 6, and Alt4. I enjoyed them all for different reasons. Hope you do too. I see myself adding many of these to my TBR as you start adding your reviews.

Nice list Bill! You know I'll be following your reviews. Without you, Alondra, and Lea I would probably not have a TBR at all.

Great list! And I'm not surprised at how quickly you got it posted. I enjoyed 2 and 12 a lot. Hope you do too. I've had my eye on 3,4, and 8 so I will be watching to see what you think of them.

Nice list! I'm hoping to read Mad Honey and Lessons in Chemistry too. I will be watching for your reviews.

Nice list! You aren't the only one who hasn't read Tess. I haven't either so I will be watching for your review. Hope you enjoy everything on your list.

A series challenge, cool! I can't wait to see how many new ones you make me start in 2023.

Really need to get back to the Mercy Thompson series. It’s been a while since I read them, thinking I got to number 3...."Clark and Division was really nice. Just a perfect combination of mystery and history. The Mercy Thompson series is just book candy but sometimes that's what you need right?
