At some point in November I will start trying to make progress in my rather large pile of Christmas books. I just can't start them before Halloween. Most are chick lit so by the time I get to the end of December I am so ready for a change of pace. My 12+4 challenges probably aren't going to be completed. I've read 10 in 1, 9 in the other. Fairly good progress but with my Christmas book plan, I don't think I'll be completing either. We'll see what happens. For 2025 I think I will just stick to 1 challenge again. Whilst I want to read all the books, I've been distracted by new discoveries or new releases. There are just so many books vying for my attention!

9th book finished - The Book of Fire4 stars from me.
In my opinion this author's best book was The Beekeeper of Aleppo. I've read Songbirds and now this one and they don't quite live up to The Beekeeper. Having said that, once I got into this book, I did become invested in it. For me, it was a bit of a slow start and it took me a while to get into it. But definitely worth a read. It really shows the horrors and impact of wildfires which we hear about in so many countries these days.

I enjoyed the trilogy - I'd definitely recommend reading the next 2 books
8th book finished - Daisy Jones & The Six. I wasn't sure if I would like the style - the interview with all the different characters. But it worked well and I enjoyed it much more than I'd expected. Managed to get through it in just 2 days.
