Do you remember the titles of any of the books you picked up?

Is anyone else going to read any of our selections or something else?

It will be interesting to hear your thoughts about that book and how it relates to the Cold War or the current crisis in Europe.

What are you going to read this month? One of our suggestions, or something else?

What ideas, tropes, settings, or characters come to mind when you think of the Cold War?

Has the Cold the War returned? Did it ever leave? What does that mean for the world?
Let's discuss popular Cold War books that might provide some context/insight into the current conflict.

It's amazing how words on a page can impact one's emotional state. There couldn't be a better testament to the power of words. Did anyone else have a strong reaction to their book?

Give us an idea of the most important aspects of the book your reading. What really touched, moved, or angered you?

That sounds like a very interesting book Jennifer. Would you recommend it?

What are your first thoughts about the short stories you have read?

For those who have started their books, what are your first impressions?

Let me know if you would like me to place a hold on a set for you.

This month we are going to read short stories. We had a request for Alice Munro's
Runaway Stories, but you are welcome to read and share any short stories!

Thanks for sharing Yvonne! That's a great selection of books waiting to get started!

Does anyone else have some thoughts on this topic? Or would you like to respond to Heather's interpretation?

Heather - that is an excellent review. I would recommend that everyone else check it out!
