Dude, just start responding in ways that make them horrible about doing it. That's what I do when people bitch at me about their kids.

I.E. Really dramatic responses about loneliness. The darker and more disturbing, the better.

I passed the real estate licensing exam! I've been studying for weeks; so glad it payed off! Time to celebrate!
