While I'm writing an historical novel (I include time travel in that) I immerse myself in the early 19th century and am brain deep in bonnets and breeches - then the telephone rings. Now that's time travel!
Thank you, Helen for your trust!
Orinoco, I'm with you on that. It can spoil an experience that could have been terrific.

I think it is good advice as there is nothing worse than reading something that you know is not right for the situation or character.
Having said that, Orinoco is right in that if I wrote only what I know about I wouldn't have written a time travel book! I have stuck to settings I know well though.
Kath wrote: "Haha! Anna, when someone tells me to take care, I wonder what they know that I don't! :)"I have to say that, once or twice, that has occurred to me too!

But being a nice Womble, that wouldn't happen to you. But watch out for heavy rain heading towards Wimbledon Common, we don't want you drowning. Gee, I don't make a good friend, do I? I've always got something worrying to say!

Being a loveable Womble, Orinoco, you live underground, don't you? With friends and relations? Sensibly safe. Although, come to think of it, aren't most murders committed by someone the victim knows? Take care, Orinoco, you're important to Wimbledon Common.
When people say 'take care' to me, I quite like it if I think they mean it and for the next ten minutes I do take care!

If you don't know about Indie Book Bargains, I can only echo Michael's glowing recommendation. It's one of the most entertaining bargain book newsletters I've seen and I would definitely encourage anyone to take a look.
