Did she have a bad case of heart burn...

I know my photo looks old but I'm only in my late 50's not late 70's. But in essence it is after world war two, we are talking in the early to late 60's for me. When my mother and father divorced my mother was left with 5 kids and no money. My mother worked when she could and did what was best for us. we moved 4 times between 1965 and 1971. I've seen my mother struggle to bring us up right and she did a fantastic job. When we were growing up we were somewhere between poor and homeless. Some times we were closer to poor and other times we were closer to homeless.

If you are not a lover of cream cheese and are forced to eat it for a week then you would feel the same way I do about it,,,

A quote from the hat, "I'm on top"
A quote from the shoes, "I will hold you all up"

Yes the Pineapple juice was good and the oatmeal wasn't to bad but the pancake mix was the pits. I can remember before we got all those subsidies we spent a week eating cream cheese sandwiches to this day cream cheese makes me gag.

What did the belt say tot he trousers?

What did the underwear say to the trousers?
I'm under cover.

I believe I can fly, well I did until I hit the ground. It's the last time I take what a song says as truth.

It strikes me as all wrong powdered peanut butter. Your right Ori it did taste nuttier we also got the occasional 10 pound bag of flour and sugar, Oh and almost forgot the orange drink didn't taste of anything orange, I think they called it orange because of the color.

Oh please Powdered milk the only way I could stand it is if it were in a flavored cereal unfortunately we couldn't afford that so I didn't drink it or use it. The government cheese was at least real cheese and was great for making Mac and cheese and wasn't to bad in a powdered egg and cheese omelet. We did also get the government peanut butter, the one that you had to spend at least 10-20 min stirring to get the oil back into the peanut paste at the bottom of the can. And then there was the spam, what can I say I actually liked it, I don't think it was real meat but hay beggars can't be choosers as the saying goes. The one thing I did like is they gave you real butter, I never did like the margarine my mother use to buy yes it was cheap but shudder it tasted cheap.
Yes I grew up on government subsidies am not ashamed of saying we needed it to stay alive. At times that was all we could rely on. Recommendation don't eat Mac and Cheese and Fried Spam a very bad mix, trust me on this I can't explain why but if you tried it you know what I am talking about.

LOL have to agree with the powdered eggs I grew up with those as well and I can tell you the first time I had real eggs scrambled I was surprised they didn't have a green ting to them.

I know it was plane crazy I had to runway before I lost my mind...

I tried running a marathon once it was sole destroying.

One of my favorite is the guy who dialed 999 because he could find his keys.

I don't think she feels wiped out so much as she feels drained

Groovy we aim to please and if we can bring a smile to your face and make your day or even only an hour then we have done something good. We await your return my friend.

yes that as well give it your own meaning and confuse your friends and family when you add it to a message where it is not called for.

Corporal punishment is no longer he has been promoted to Major punishment, he is now the adjutant to General (Mishap).
