Kirsten - the Prime Video adaptation is pretty good. But I too love how Thackeray "breaks the 4th wall (so to speak)" ..."
Probably one of the best victorian novel ever!!! And Becky is he GREATEST heroine!

Still I think you're doing the right choice. Let's hope the future will bring us a better time to share with those with love - and those we'd like to know better!

Same for me: being written in a realativly simple English, it is usually suggested as starting book not in translation... probably too early
