I was a bit disappointed in
Her Every Fear by Peter Swanson. I was expecting more from this author. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Finished
Little Girl Lost by Carol Wyer this morning. 2.5 stars. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I have just finished listening to
Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys. This book should be compulsory reading for all history classes, although it is historical faction. Moving. Tragic.https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Just finished
Blood Ties by Jenny Francis, an okay read, but nothing special. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Just finished
One Little Mistake by Emma Curtis. The more I think about this book, the more I like it! https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I have just finished a really good psychological thriller
Little White Lies by Elizabeth McGregor. Chilling! https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Recently finished
Forget Me Not by Luana Lewis which was, for me, a compelling read. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Before The Devil Knows You're Dead by Owen Mullen. I was lucky enough to receive an advance copy from the author. And just like the previous 2 in the series, once I started reading I just could not put it down!
Oh dear, I seem to be in a bit of a reading slump....this was even worse than my last read. I made it to 71% then wondered why was I was wasting my time and abandoned it. Everyone else has given it rave reviews.....
Fatal Option by Chris Beakey https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Just finished listening to
Daughters of the Bride by Susan Mallery If you like 'happy ever after' - this one's a gem! It has left me with a smile on my face and a genuine liking for this family. To all you who know me, this is indeed high praise coming from someone who doesn't 'do romance'.
Daughters of the Bride is not 'schmaltzy' - it is enjoyable. I even laughed out loud in several places - yes, a good look when you are sitting in a café on your own.
Next time I fancy something light and enjoyable, I will be looking at Susan Mallery first.
Lucky enough to have an advance copy of Before the Devil Knows You're Dead by Owen Mullen. Got me from the first page! Half way through and hating having to put it down to come to work.
