OWEN MULLEN'S debut novel Games People Play has been long-listed for Bloody Scotland McIlvanney Crime Book Of The Year 2017.
And So It Began book #1 in the Delaney series was awarded ⭐Star Pick from the Sunday Times Crime Club.

School was a waste of time for me. Or rather, I wasted time; my own and every teacher’s who tried to get me to work. It took twenty years to appreciate what they were telling me. Life has rules. They aren’t written down but they exist nevertheless. I got that. Eventually. But by then I was thirty five.
Along the way I missed an important clue. At ten I won a national primary schools short story competition – and didn’t write anything else for forty years.

Owen Mullen - Author Interview

Welcome to my blog Owen. It seems to me that we have some similarities – into music, played in bands, some success with short stories that we failed to move on, then turned to writing novels later in life. Your bio suggests turning to writing was a means to an end, but to stick at it and turn out successful novels people want to read takes more than that,... Read more of this blog post »

Karen Dear Owen

We recently became friends on Good Reads. I am writing to tell you there might be some confusion when I change my name from Mary to Karen Murphy.

When I joined Good Reads in 2014 I registered with my personal email address and password. My sister died suddenly in January, 2013. As a way of memorializing her, I made her name into my email address, So Good Reads assumed my name was Mary because that is the prefix of my email. My real name is Karen. I have been unable up to this point to fix my profile page to edit and save the changes. I now have step by step directions so I am going to try to change my name from my sister's name to my name Karen Murphy,

Sorry for any confusion this may cause you.

Your Good Reads Friend
Karen Murphy
