inglades nearly vomited when he saw a dessicated corpse, dried blood crusting it's body, hanging upside down from a supporting beam above him. it struck him, as he saw various other implements, that he was in the torture chambers
inglades opened the door into a large room, cold, damp, and filled mist mist. he heard the drip drip of water, or was it blood? when he looked down, there was a dark substance on the floor, and he couldn't be sure
inglades climbed up the stairs, ignoring the searing pain as a dart shot from the wall and hit him on the arm.
"the demon is probably at the top of the tower, he seemed to take a liking to the view" inglades held up his glowing, holy sword, and walked to a stairwell going up
inglades cut his sword down the slit in the center of the door, his enchanted blade severing the beams holding it shut. a horrible smell hit everyone, followed by a red mist. inglades grimaced "let's go" he said grimly, walking into the gloom
inglades (and i presume the rest of the group too) sprinted after anubis, his plate armor moving almost silently
inglades had memories of that same tower, the death of his brother agrival, forced back in to his mind my the evil will of the tower. "it won't be long now"
the tower gradually grew closer, and the light from inglades' sword grew gradually dimmer, overpowered by the overwhelming evil of the place
the silence pressed upon the group, their footfalls seeming extremely loud in the remote, unearthly, dead silence
"let us avenge the innocent" inglades said grimly, walking towards the ebon tower at the center of the wheel shaped city
