(you mean dalamar?) dalamar spun around at the voice, but relaxed when he saw that it was scorch the sprite, not the daemonlord, to whom he had devoted years of study to. "scorch, or whatever your name is, you rally should leave." at this, the floor shook slightly, making dalamar understand fully what he had done. "if it makes you feel better, i'll be happy to get out of her if i survive this" he felt the ward he had placed vanish

((i assume that everyone else is running too)) dalamar threw up a ward on the doorway, not that he thought it would do much good. a moment later, he was sprinting down the hall after the others, his well muscled body easily closing the gap between him and the others

inglades was grimacing with the pain of his wound, but at least he was alive. "pine!" erica! anyone!" he called

"it doesn't matter right now! run!!!" dalamar was ready to run himself, but he couldn't yet. his choice was made for him, however, when a faint red glow came from the hallway he had entered from

dalamar stood up in a panic. "you don't understand the significance of what just happened! run! run!!!" dalamar grabbed the chalk, putting it in a secret pocket of his black robe, taking out his wand.

inglades limped after pine. he had to find erica, and it was a bad idea to wander alone in such a tower.

dalamar heard the squeak of armor as inglades left the room, his eyes going up for a split second. when he looked back, he saw that his rune was off by half a centimeter. "d'arvit!" he swore, not caring if the others did or did not understand elvish

dalamar pulled out a stick of chalk, scratching down runes frantically on the ground. the circle had to be perfect, the transportation rune had to be perfect, the binding rune had to be perfect, all of the runes had to be perfect.

"well, it seems that the easiest thing for all of us is that you leave, then i can conduct my buisness"

from under his low hood, dalamar smiled. "you just can't make this easy, can you?"

dalamar sighed, then said in a deadly quiet voice "so why don't you all just back away, and leave this tower before it's master discovers us"

(crap, i just realized that i messed up) "i draw my power from it. you
should be afraid"

"so perhaps you should stop insulting me?" dalamar said, still grinning.

dalamar tucked his spellbook into a hidden inner pocket of his robes, drawing his now free hand up towards scorch. "shall i demonstrate, why you
should perhaps fear it?" he said with a wicked grin as a crackling ball of blackness appeared in his hand, and at the same moment activating the wand, preparing to loose some of it's stored energy, the slender shaft of wood crackling with magical electricity

((maybe i will, zarha, maybe i will...))
dalamar sneered, tightening his grip on his wand. "don't tell me you don't feel the power of this place! the necromantic power is strong here"

((he's a dark elf, he looks like a normal elf (you read the dragonlance legends books zarha! you know about dalamar the dark!)) "because you lack the official permission of the orders of high sorcery to investigate this site"

"no" inglades growled
dalamar coughed "so, what reason do i have to let you pass?"

inglades looked up angrily, managing to stand, despite the pain it caused him

as pine walked towards the door, the heavy iron portal slammed shut. dalamar released his invisibility spell, confident that he could hold off any attacks. "who are you who enter here?" he asked

((you know the mage is invisible)) dalamar stood in the doorway, his hand reaching under his robes, closing around a wand

the figure walked down the hall, standing in the door, a simple cantrip rendering him invisible. how interesting! several humans, elves, and what looked like a homuculus.
