We have two types of writing contests-Freelance Writing Contest(Open to any type of genre/theme) and the Writing contest( has a set theme/topic). These contests are made to encourage everyone who participate to get started writing. A contest will be held every month to give everyone a chance to practice their writing skills. Judging will be done base of presentation( The overall look of the story), genre( does follow the theme in The Writing Contest), Flow(Does the story read like a story), and punctuation(This isn't a strict rule due to different English background, but proper puncture marks, such as a period will count.) Judging will take place on the due date, so all entries much be in before that date. If no one enters, the moderator will enter a story (this rule extend to the poetic Contest as well), thus winning the contest in order to continue to the next.

Here's a sample of ideas(Judging will not reflect the sample ideas, so you don't have to use the sample)if you are struggling for ideas, but remember to be creative:
Your character desperately wants something that belongs to his best friend. He feels that if he had this one thing, his life would be better. Without it, his life is miserable. What is the thing? Why does he want it so much? You decide. Your character develops a plan to get this thing for himself. What's the plan? But several obstacles block him. What are they? The situation is looking pretty bad for your character, but he decides to make one final last-ditch effort to get what he wants. This is the story climax. What is your character's final plan? What happens? Write the story.
