1041826 Agatha Christie and M. C. Beaton. Beaton I find easier to read but no-one beats a good Christie. I fell in love with her after watching And Then There Were None and now she's my go-to when I've lost inspiration.

1041826 I've recently discovered Lissa Evans and love her books. The 2 I've read, Old Baggage and Crooked Heart, are women-centric and set in wartime Britain. Evans really captures the spirit of the time.

Edit - tidy up.
