Gina Yap Lai Yoong is an author of five published Malay novels - Eksperimen Cinta, Ngeri, Mangsa, Serangkai Hidup, and Obsesi - all of which are available in major bookstores in Malaysia and Google Play Store. Her bestsellers - Ngeri and Mangsa - have gone through multiple re-prints since its release. Her English debut - A Writer's Journey - was published in March 2016. Her latest published book is entitled Wak Linggi. She is currently working on two other manuscripts.

As for what happens with Nazri, it was on purpose that I left it that way because while I was writing, there came a realisation that sometimes we don't get the answers to everything in life (though sometimes we do get them later on, a few decades later). All the 'what ifs' and little things that go unanswered, how do we cope with it? That's what I try to bring out in Obsesi.

My next book, fingers crossed, maybe entitled CULIK. It's the only story I'm working on (on and off) now, as I am kinda hand tight with mentoring young writers this year. Reading all their manuscripts takes up time that I should spend on writing.(less)
