Vonnegut

[close] I've been staring at some dystopian works that have been sitting around my room, wanting to be read. It's high time that I do so! The books I want to read are: Brave New World by Huxley, The Road by Cormac, as well as two miscellaneous works thrown in-Smoke and Mirrors by Gaiman, and Cat's Cradle by Vonnegut. Now, I don't want these to deter anyone from joining. You don't have to read exactly what I've included; I welcome other dystopian novel-readers (Especially Orwell-bloody brilliant, he is), and other similar works can and will be discussed. Obviously, it would benefit you to read or have read the said novels.

[close] This is a Portland, Oregon book club started with the intention of getting people together to talk with books as possible topic of discussion. We meet once in person to discuss the book, drink, and discuss potential genres/books for the upcoming month. This is a social book club full of (mostly) friendly people who (mostly) drink and laugh and have a good time.
