[close] Between the rushing winds of mountains high and the loud roars of ocean waves lies the capital city of Celebrus. Within, 4 Kings and Queens are to meet with a discussion. They're words hushed and unknown to any else but the humble servant. "....All out war...." "....Total massacre....." "....too many sacrifices...." "....we end this...." Words like these were never meant to be spoken. The time of peace had been broken by an unseen force. Totally unbeknownst to the 4 royals, a wicked queen brewed an awful taste upon the land. Claiming to be of doomed royal blood, she intends to take the capital and rule the country the current bloodlines have governed for hundreds of years. Quickly, the 4 Royals took action against the wretched beast. With the power of their combined forces, the 4 kingdoms fought back against her power. 10 years of war before the Queen Of The Wicked, Maarika, was captured and executed for her crimes against the nation and it's citizens. The Kings and Queens of their respective provinces were showered with glory while the losers of the war conjured horrid revenge. Statues were erected, they live down in history as protectors of their nations. While followers of Maarika were banished entirely from the land, past the mountains where the sun has long led away the life. Since then, it has been 25 years. Those cherished Kings and Queens have long died, their memory no near forgotten. The story of Maarika's followers, crumbs for the rats. It is now mostly told as a bedtime story. New heirs took the old royals' places and have led their countries since they were old enough to do so. All is well for now. However, to the unfortunate will of the underworld, evil rears its ugly head once more. There are followers of Maarika coming from the mountains, slaying unwary travelers. They have a new king and the new kings and queens of Aeterna have no idea how to stop him.

[close] All animals finally live in peace. No worries to worry about until the dark times. The dark one will rise against the others to try and rule over them. To become queen of animals, the world! Until a young reckless cub is born she will defeat the evil one, but what will they do after the war is over after 25 years? If you don't understand here's an explanation- Animals are living like they did on this world that only they live on. The dark times are coming, a great war, and the dark one, an evil female feline, tries to take over the world they live on, but there is going to be a feline who is born 1 year into the war. She or he will defeat the dark one a 4 years after he or she is born. Only the moderators can be the chosen cub and the dark one. There will be a thread for the dark ones and the Rebels characters. Just be patient this is a new group!!!

The group is a combined discussion and role-play group, with most of the various role-play areas and places being based on scenes from the Den of Shadows series. You can create your own unique characters (in fact, please do), or if you wish you can request a specific character from one of the Den of Shadows books to role-play. Though anyone who feels they will enjoy vampire/fantasy role-play can join, it is preferable that you have read the books first. This is not a pre-requisite, but for those members who have not read the books, the information threads in the role-play folders are particularly important. :) Den of Shadows: The world of Nyeusigrube (the Den of Shadows) overlaps our own; its timeline runs alongside ours. The difference lies in those breeds that are not quite human, not quite mortal, not quite... us. They are the denizens of a world that is just a little darker than the one we claim as ours. Vampires roam the world, hiding in plain sight, as they have for countless millennia, since the time of Siete and Triste. In New York, many vampires live in or visit the "invisible" town of New Mayhem. Though both humans and vampires visit New Mayhem, there is never any record of anyone coming or going. Along with vampires, the immortal Triste witches walk among the mortals, and most are deadly enemies to the vampires. As are the Macht witches, mortal, yet almost as dangerous to the vampires as the Triste. Roam through the Den of Shadows as you wish, but beware... this world can be a perilous place.
