[close] Books are the gateways that allow the individual to travel outside of their immediate walls, find a new community, travel outside of that community and temporarily become someone else with the entire weight of empathy and gravity of existence. Books are advisers and adversaries. Books are guides both internal and external. Books exist to paint you as both the victim and the perpetrator, the starring role and the supporting cast member, the hero and the villain simultaneously. Let us be good stewards of their true value and carry them forward into times of both uncertainty and times of peace.

[close] This book club is intended about the not so joyeous reads, which are interesting and important in their content, nonetheless, or maybe even evermore. If you want to read The Gulag Archipelago by Aleksandr Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn together and talk about it, heres a place for that. Feel free to post anything on ur mind about the text, the topic, or the man. Also The Rise and Fall of The Third Reich is another book currently being read. After those we can pick and choose together whats next :)
