Purgatory

[close] There is death, which awaits everyone, and there is a life after death. Some learn about the existence of the afterlife either from local traditions or from religion. But there is a growing number of people who claim to have briefly experienced life in the spiritual realm through near-death or out-of-body experiences and have reported these in literature, on internet websites, on radio, television and through other means. This group has been set up to explore this whole question relating to NDEs, death and dying, the hereafter, heaven and hell, the soul and spirit of man, and other related subjects.

[close] This RP is based on a story written by me personally with copyright law in place. I'm attempting to create a saga and may even ask about using certain characters designed by creative people such as yourself. In this world, there are four linked realities; Mortaea, Heaven, Hell, and the dream world, commonly referred to as The Fade, which connects the realities to each other. Magic exists, though is restrained by where the energy comes from as well as consequences for certain uses.

They call themselves the Purgatorians; wandering souls, lost to their own longings and desires. Mankind whispered of their existence, but most are unaware that members of their own community possessed abilities that exceed mortal comprehension. Mortals are ignorant to the supernatural entities that walk among them everyday. But there are a select few, bred and trained to slay these demons that tread upon our asphalt. This elite call themselves Exorcists - demon slayers and monster hunters. However, corruption has began to grow, rotting their organization at it's core. With sin festering within it's heart, how long can they last till they all walk among the dead?
