If you love world literature, translated works, travel writing, or exploring the world through books, you have come to the right place! ATW80 began in 2009 as a challenge on TNBBC. The separate group was established in 2011. Anyone can join and participate in the challenges or readings at any time. Challenge participation is not a requirement of joining. Anyone who loves reading books from around the world is welcome here. The main purpose of this group is to travel the world through books, experiencing new authors and cultures along the way. This venture has introduced me to far off lands, fresh viewpoints, and many new authors I might not have discovered otherwise. [close] Wanderlust Reads Bookclub is for those who love to travel and love to read. Each month members will vote on selected books set in different travel destinations. Genres will vary. Just like travel often takes us out of our comfort zone, reading new genres can do the same. The book that receives the most votes will be read over the course of a month and you can join a zoom meet up on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. [close] This group is being established to encourage community interaction with the Germantown Warhawk Bands and the community surrounding it in Germantown, Richfield and beyond, and to have cultural awareness of traveling to Spain prior to our trip. To foster a sense of community and adventure for the upcoming Germantown Warhawk Bands trip to Madrid, Spain in Dec 2025/Jan 2026 to participate in the city's Cabalgata de Reyes parade on 01/05/2026, this list will initially feature books related to Spain's culture, music, architecture, food , art and history, that may be of interest to those making the trip and their surrounding community. We encourage the use of the Germantown Community Library as a source for books, and encourage people to explore the Library's Monarch Catalog as a means to access materials throughout the library system.
