[close] Beyond The Surface is a Young Adult Mental Health Book Club. Each month a new book will be choosen to be read and discussed by the end of the month. The purpose of this book club is to raise mental health awareness and to have a safe space to talk about some of the harder topics that affect all of our lives.

[close] Café Bibliothérapie is a social #LitTherapy book club that pairs fiction with non-fiction to encourage meaningful conversations about mental health & wellness. #LitTherapy nurtures self-understanding and empathetic perspective-taking to improve our ability to connect, communicate and care for others. We welcome mental health sufferers & caregivers, freaks & geeks, jocks & princesses, misfits & criminals to join us on our journey through #LitTherapy!

[close] Schizophrenia is mostly misunderstood in the media, school shootings and other scary scenarios. Jake and Laurette McCook have written a book about Jake's journey with schizophrenia. It's written in dual perspective by mother and son. Jake bravely describes what goes on in his head, while his mother in alternating chapters opens up from her own viewpoint. This group is to discuss this brain disease and your perceptions therein. Reading the book is not a prerequisite but would certainly enrich the conversation. We're open to all of it.
