Instead of viewing this as "defective" it should be considered with great care and consideration--what experience does this offer up? How does it make us unique? [close] I'm challenging myself to diversifying my reading list in 2024. When it comes to reading, I stay in my fluffy fiction comfort zone because my work reading can get very serious and depressing. But work has dried up at the moment and I've decided to seize this as an opportunity to step out of that comfort zone and expose myself to the variety of authors out there. I'm making this space to keep myself accountable and if others want to join, that's great! Diversification can look different depending on your positionality. For me, I'm seeking authors outside the white, straight, neurotypical, North American experience.
