Let's read books in the ENGLISH language by: AMERICAN DIASPORA authors who identify with their multi-ethnic, multinational & multiracial heritages from Southeast Asia such as: BRUNEI, CAMBODIA, LAOS, INDONESIA, MALAYSIA, MYANMAR (Burma), PHILIPPINES, SINGAPORE, THAILAND & VIETNAM OR Who identify with their specific indigenous heritages (ethnic minority groups) from Southeast Asia such as: HMONG, KAREN, LU MIEN, MONTAGNARD, MUONG & etc. **All genres & forms are welcome: fiction, non-fiction, essays, short stories, young adult, picture books, graphic novels, memoirs, poetry, plays etc. ***NOTE: While all types of literature should be discussed or reviewed, this space will not focus on any works that have: A) Southeast Asians as secondary characters in fictional works B) Non-Asian (especially white) authors writing on Southeast Asian characters or topics C) Southeast Asian authors from other diasporas: Australia, Canada, UK etc. D) Southeast Asian authors who write in their respective Southeast Asian languages (i.e., an author raised in Vietnam writes primarily in Vietnamese) Thank you & happy reading!
