DISCUSSION TOPICS: - Reducing unnecessary military interventions - Limiting corporate influence in politics - Ensuring affordable housing and healthcare - Advocating for fair wages and family leave BOOK SELECTION: We're focused on choosing books that foster cross-ideological discussions, challenge assumptions, and highlight shared values. Key criteria include: 1. Encouraging thoughtful discussion on issues affecting Americans. 2. Promoting open dialogue among diverse viewpoints. 3. Accessibility in multiple formats and manageable length. GOODREADS ACTIVITIES: - Book Announcements & Polls: Members vote on upcoming books. - Weekly Discussion Threads: Share thoughts on key chapters or themes. - Shared Resources: Access articles, videos, and petitions. - Wrap-Up Reflections: Conclude each book with insights and next steps. [close] Each month a theme will be set with a suggested book for each age group (adult, young adult, 8-12 years, young children). You do not have to stick to your age group, it's just to provide a little something for everyone. Some months adult themes may be included, there will be a warning given prior if this is the case. If you add a book to the tbr please let a moderator know the key themes, genres and age range that it falls under.
