[close] A book can tell a story, but depending on the reader, there will always be a story BEYOND the Book, one that we all can uniquely relate to. Beyond the Book is a space for ladies to come together, share, socialise and be inspired by other readers! We all have our unique stories and reasons for picking up certain books, whether its from a place of joy, curiosity, a search for meaning and purpose, a place of pain where we're looking to find someone to relate to, or simply a recommendation from a friend (which lets be honest, doesn't' always turn out the best =D). If you are a fellow lover of reading I welcome and encourage you to come and join. You may be interested to realise that whatever book you currently have in your hand will reflect some part of your life in one way or another... this is what Beyond the Book is about! A safe and sacred place to share our love, share our pain, have a laugh and just a place to connect with other ladies, a healthy sisterhood we all need in our lives, the ability to be seen by other woman, open up and discuss what the book really meant to us on a personal level BEYOND the text on the page. I would love for everyone in the group at some point to introduce themselves and share what book they are currently reading, but most importantly, why you are reading it and how this may be a reflection of something going on in your life.. think about it for a moment... you may learn something interesting about yourself!
