[close] A digital book club focusing on folkloric and traditional magic. By undertaking close readings of folk tales and anthropological and academic texts about folkloric practices, we hoping we can uncover some of the underpinning principles with a view to how we can apply these things to our own lives and practices. We're also interested in how a queer theoretical perspective can trouble our received understanding of 'how things were' and result in new insights about difference and otherness - especially in regards to the archetype of the witch. The moderator's interests are in Appalachian, Irish, English, German and Serbian folk practices as that’s where his ancestral lines lie, but we welcome folks from other cultural heritages, especially people of colour and folks outside of Europe.

Welcome to the Harry Potter roleplay group~ I know there's a lot of HP Roleplays out there, but I just really wanted to create one for those who are new or old and make a comfortable potter head environment. This is an environment where you can discuss other books (Will be found in other chats) and create your own character for fun! It's perfectly fine if you're not inactive a lot, as we will keep all characters and make sure they're not stolen/copied. Please keep this PG, as there are sometimes younger people who are intolerant to the language and scenes.
