Sylvia Izzo Hunter's Noctis Magicae series! And if you're looking for something girthier, Patrick Rothfuss's Name of the Wind series. But prepare to wait, he's much like George R. R. Martin and we may never see book 3.

Nik you may also enjoy Lev Grossman's Magicians series. It also has an interdimensional library (which I do NOT think Ms Cogman was imitating ... Grossman did not invent the trope ... but in my headcanon they're the same! :)
