I do not think you are being very reasonable, this book does not contain very detailed measures of these things. I have no business in how you parent but, this seems like a mature book un less your 7th grader is in the shadows of knowing about this kind of stuff.

i really don't think the rape and sex was that seriouse. did you read the book? it really doesn't give any details. i am in 8th grade. i read this book....and actually found it quit boring. those converstions youve had with your 7th grader at the time was uneccesary. plz excuse my grammer mistakes.

I agree with Audrey, most likely your child just didn't tell you he/she knows about rape and violence and so on.
