I'm so happy with this comment! I get a bit fed up with people who want a book and movie to be exactly alike. I grew up with the movie and love it, but have just gotten into the book and love that I have now experienced both versions!
Personally I like when a movie is a little lighter and the book more serious, which is how I found Practical Magic. Both are great and worth reading and watching!
