Benjamin dies. Oh 377, pg 399. David tells him, he is the bravest basted he knows. Later he places a puck on a headstone w/those words. It’s benji’s headstone
Beth, I don't recall this snippet being in the future. Normally when the author is talking about what becomes of people, it's prefaced with "10 years from now". I don't think the book jumped ahead when David left the watch on the grave, so he must have left it at the cemetery when Benji was still alive. David was saying his goodbyes to Benji because he knew Benji wouldn't join his new team. Benji is the "bravest" still despite being gay. Nothing to do with him dying.
