Yeah it is difficult rescuing and rehabbing abused animals. The Amish are the biggest contributors to puppy mills as well. I understand and respect their religion and lifestyle but wish someone would show them the first and only job God gave humans was to take care of His animals. I guess they skip Genesis. Hopefully you will go back and face your parents. it would suck of course but the level of closure would do miracles for you. The last time you saw that mountain you were a little girl and it was a big mountain. Now you are a BIG girl and its a very small piece of earth. Seeing it with adult eyes would help so many of your nightmares and triggers. They are slimeball white trash and you need to see that yourself with adult eyes =)
Ps.. cat in my profile is far from abused =) He was a bottle baby my family raised. He is spoiled rotten but was not overly thrilled with the antlers his human siblings bought him for a present =)
Cute cat :) I agree I should go back to the mountain but every time I think of doing so I start trembling and can hardly breath :(
Hi Misty, I think you 'went back to the mountain' when you wrote your book. I doubt that anything would change and it is hard to put away the child role with your parents no matter how old you are. I don't think there is anything to gain by facing them again. I would prefer to look forward rather than back.
