Poor laddie indeed! Thanks for answering my questions again, Grace! By the way, if poor Maeve and Deirdre had been about the same age, maybe they could've become great friends and Maeve could've adjusted to her new home better.
Assuming Deidre was raised in that part of Aberdeen. Lessee... Maeve would have been born in about 1810, and in the mid 1850s, DeeDee was pushing fifty... they would have been pretty close in age, though DeeDee would have been a few years older, a very few.
