Thanks! That clears things up! I loved the characters of the book but always had mixed feelings about the book itself! :)
I love that he's a show guy and he backs it up. IRL, that's what my mama always said, "I hear what you say, but I see what you do." Now that's real love! :D
Nina, thanks for the question...I had the same in my mind and it bothered me because jagged is one of my favorite books...
I'm so glad you answered this question! I know that Ham was up front about not being exclusive with Zara, but since he hadn't committed to her then, I could kind of gloss over that in my mind and try not to think about other women he might have slept with, even knowing how Zara felt about him. But when I realized that he'd had deep feelings for Feb, it literally HURT me to think about it. And that's not a reaction I've had reading any of your other books (or anyone else's for that matter). But I was so into Ham and Zara's story that his disclosure left me reeling. I had to walk away for a bit before continuing and even after finishing it, I was left feeling sad. Like the person who asked the question, I thought that maybe if Feb had given him a bit more that he'd have chosen her instead and that Zara was second choice. I liked her so much that I felt awful on her behalf. As much as I loved the book, it's one I never intended to read again as it made me too sad. Now that you've explained things, I can re-read it and view his response from a happier perspective. This really pleases me because if it hadn't been for that gut wrenching feeling after his response, like Feb was the one he would have chosen otherwise, that book would have been one of my very favorites of your books. You've given me back the book. Thank you again for clarifying things from Ham's perspective! :)
