Shaun Sometimes it lessens a story when characters just luck their way through events, but yours characters feel immune to this. I always thought the nature of their world always made it more plausible that they were unwittingly willing reality to see them come out on top. Some of the things Jorg got away with early on in POT had me going "yeah right" but then later on as things are revealed I put the the book down and thought "what a clever way to explain a suspension of disbelief." I have never seen another fantasy author pull off an almost scientifically believable system of magic. If it was intentional, kudos Mr. Lawrence. I love the world you have created and they actually make up more bookmarks in my kindle than all my other fantasy books combined. And they include Malazan, Martin, Rothfuss, Jordan, and several others. Thanks for your response
