judith Agree, & if that's the ending, what was it all for? what's the message here?

Jim What was it all for? Not sure. Maybe to chronicle Cassie's journey into her black hole of despair? And use Silicon Valley startup life as a catalyst?

judith If it's nothing more than a glimpse of untreated mental illness, then I still say to what point? I kept waiting for some insight that never came, then this non-ending...it just seemed like a waste of time.

Kathleen M I'm going to go further and say it's actually dangerous. I shudder to think of someone I love and who has severe depression reading this book and not reaching out for help.

judith Yes! Cassie's self-aware enough to acknowledge her black hole & she recognized her mother's mental illness, yet she made no effort to get help for herself. It's disturbing.
