I'd also add that Ripe opens with a suicide and brings up Believers standing on the CalTrain tracks. Clearly the case can be made that Etter has foreshadowed suicide.

Tho it seems disappointing if suicide is the ending's intention. Like a hurry-up lets end this thing kind of ending.(less)
