Ann You can actually flag remarks like that and Goodreads is fairly prompt about removing them. But it happens so much in this particular group and I reported so many of them that I finally just gave up. It would be nice if the moderators of the group would deal with it but apparently they don’t pay attention to the discussions.

I have enjoyed a series by Nevada Barr that features a National Park ranger named Anna Pigeon who ends up solving a lot of murders and other crimes. Each book takes place in a different national park (Barr was once a park ranger herself). My favorite in the series is _A Superior Death_, which takes place on Lake Superior.
