Anna oFinally, someone else who thinks like I do :). I love the books the way they are.

I would like to know more about Ranger though, like what happens when he goes out of town. Lula made an interesting observation about this in one of the books.

message 2: by Emily (new)

Emily I agree! I don't want her to choose. I love the idea of her bouncing back and forth. I guess we all know that Stephanie will end up with Joe, because Ranger could never be a husband. He's too mysterious!

Kathryn Love Grandma Mazer - don't change her.

message 4: by Rayni (new)

Rayni I'm with you. I don't want her to choose - or if she does, choose Joe. But Joe's the good guy & will lose out to bad **ahem** Ranger. And I LOVE G-ma.

message 5: by Cindy (new)

Cindy I don't want her to choose, the fun and excitement come from being indecisive. Its also good that they "get along" so she's not forced to commit to either of them. Why shouldn't she get to enjoy them both? That's the turnaround from the typical male position that makes the books interesting. I'd like to see more Grandma Mazur!

Rachel Skinner As Yvonne commented in another questions, I'd love to see a plot where it was intrinsic that Joe and Ranger work together, and not off the page either, but show us the scenes. That tension would bring some spice back to the series, if at least for one book.

Adrienne I would love to read about Ranger's secrets. Been waiting since book 12. But, have been left hanging since

message 8: by Anna (new)

Anna Ooo, Joe and Ranger working together, would love that. You not its funny Joe isn't all that good, he just is compared to Ranger.

message 9: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn If we read about Ranger's secrets, then he wouldn't be appealing at all. Keep him mysterious, in my humble opinion!

Adrienne Kathryn wrote: "If we read about Ranger's secrets, then he wouldn't be appealing at all. Keep him mysterious, in my humble opinion!"
Kathryn: I guess it would depend on what the secrets are that have yet to be told. Not all the secrets have to be told, to keep him mysterious. Just those secrets that prevent him from having a woman in his life. Who is the loved one he had to search for in the past. Why does he think he can only have a physical relationship with Stephanie.

message 11: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn What if Stephanie asked him point blank and he confessed his past? What then? How does JE follow that with another book?

Adrienne Kathryn wrote: "What if Stephanie asked him point blank and he confessed his past? What then? How does JE follow that with another book?"

Kathryn: why couldn't Ranger's secrets come out over time. She did ask him point blank and he told her to leave it alone. First, I think he is a government operative and goes out of town on assignments. Who are the secret partners? Who is the loved one he had to find in his past? Why can he only have a physical relationship with Stephanie... he says he loves her in his own way. JE has kept Morelli and Stephanie going for Seventeen books, I am sure she could get creative and come up with several good books.

Anna I would love to find out what happens when Ranger goes out of town. Lula did make that comment one time that it seems like there's always a coup in some country when he leaves.

Anna: yes she did. He did tell Stephanie once he was a mercenary. But, I always got the impression there was more to Ranger. More to those out of town visit. Only in the later books does Ranger say there's a problem in the Miami office, I will be back tomorrow. It would be an interesting twist to the series.

Amy the book-bat One last comment - I want to be Grandma Mazer when I grow up. :)
ME TOO!
