A cheat is an understatement. Ranger fans aggressive. Maybe because JE chose not to tell his story after book 12 and reduced the series to a tired old triangle. Lula eating her way through the series. Since JE has no intention of telling Ranger's story maybe its time JE kills him off or send him to Miami permanently. cause she isn't doing him any justice in these last four books!!!!!

Diane: I agree.

Katherine: apparently the questions were too hard for JE to answer. Went for the rehearsed answers. Has become apparent Janet Evanovich doesn't care about her fan base or her readers. She just wants to hype a book to sell it. Sad to say but the writing is on the wall. Time to seek out authors that actually care about their readers.
Goodreads should be ashamed at how they allowed Ms Evanovich to handle this Q&A feature. The entire purpose was to ensure that JE answered the questions that the MAJORITY wanted addressed. Not the smattering that she arbitrarily decided to answer. To add insult to injury, some of the questions she did answer were patent replies or vague commentary.
I know I'm not the only fan that spent considerable time reading the hundreds of proposed questions and voting, checking back frequently to adjust those votes as new questions were put forth. JE's complete disregard for the time and interest from her fans has absolutely lowered my opinion of her. I'll definitely think twice before getting involved with any Goodreads projects again.
I agree with the statements and unhappiness of what occurred with Janet Evanovich answering the top ten questions. I believe it shows the true person Ms. Evanovich is. She didn't like the top ten questions so she or her advisers chose fluff questions, so she could plug the movie and the Diesel book. Instead of satisfying her fan's curiosity and questions about where the series is going. I resent Ms. Evanovich statement that Ranger fans are aggressive. Ms. Evanovich and her books made us that way, never allowing Ranger's story to be told, why was book 12 published, if not to tell his story. Asking the hard questions to get answers.which Ms. Evanovich refuses to answer. If Ms. Evanovich is only using Ranger for a complication then let him go. allow another writer tell his story.I have not seen a solid, well written story in this series since book 12. Slap stick and tired old repeats has destroyed this series and Ms. Evanovich is too arrogant to realize it. Or her advisers are. Readers and fans are only as loyal as how they are being treated by a writer. This writer and/or her advisers seem to forget without the readers there is no author, no money to be made.
Katherine, Adrienne, Rachel and Diane, I couldn't agree with you all more! This was pathetic on both JE and GR part.

Leashia: I can understand why you would give them up. I really liked book 12, it brought Ranger and Stephanie closer together. And, Ranger's daughter was a treat to read. Book 13 wasn't a bad story, just disappointing that it didn't continue with what was told in 12. After that it crashed and burned. But, people will continue to buy the books and Evanovich will continue to hype them.

Leashia, I'm with Adrienne, read books 10-12. They are all three pretty good and lots of Ranger/Steph in them. Twelve Sharp is my favorite in the whole series. At least read that one, after that they just become annoying and little character development.

Kelly have you read 13? its a decent story just disappointing it didn't follow up on what was told in Twelve Sharp. It does answer the question where Ranger gets all his cars from. Lots of Ranger in the story too. I laughed when Stephanie came home and Ranger was sitting in her living room.. angry.
Adrienne, I have read them all except book 14 (I am the KSHAW on amazon). I liked most of 13 but towards the end the writing and storyline seemed to start changing and I didn't like it as much as the first 12 books. I was annoyed that 13 didn't even really address what had happened in TS, but JE is bad about following up on any open ends from previous books.

Kelly, yes I agree it was disappointing that it didn't continue from book 12. We really need another writer to tell Ranger's story.

With all due respect, I think that the fans think that you are looking for guidance when you put up a poll that asks who Stephanie should end up with. As for the inaccuracies the poll should have been structured so that only one vote was permitted per unique e-mail address.
