Maximum Ride

Maximum Ride is the main character of the Maximum Ride series. She is a teenage girl who has been genetically modified to contain avian DNA. She has wings and can fly. Unlike the other members of the flock, Max can fly at very high speeds. She can also breathe underwater.

Max's biological parents are Jeb Batchelder and Dr. Martinez. She has a half-sister named Ella (Dr. Martinez's daughter) who is not genetically modified. Her half-brother Ari (Jeb's son) was an Eraser. He died at the end of the third book in the series, Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports.…more
