Eldest brother of Roger and Margaret. Upon reaching his majority, he turned over ownership of Vixen Hill to Roger. Moved to Portsmouth and embarked on a naval career. Married Eleanor. died a fortnight before Bess met Lydia, his ship torpedoed off the coast of Ireland.
