I was born in New Hampshire and now live outside Toronto by way of Germany, Belgium, Seattle, and Austin. After working for a number of evil empires, I decided to forgo things like a salary and regular human interaction to start publishing company Brain Lag, which has now published over fifty titles by twenty different authors from across North America and Great Britain. I try to find time for reading, writing, art, gaming, baking, playing guitar and piano, photography, and more at home with my husband, daughter, and two crazy tabbies.

As time goes on

I like the celebration of the new year because, ultimately, it’s about optimism for the future. That said, this year has already not started out particularly encouraging for me, so here’s a summary of my 2025 in a few key numbers:

Cozy is definitely the right word for this style. Not something I’d want to read all the time, but it makes a nice escape now and then.

The denouement stretched a bit long and Melilot was a little insufferable at times, but it was entertaining overall, and there was good humour.
