Fun little graphic novel. I love all the detail in the world and the characters are quite interesting. I feel like it would have been stronger if there had been more info on page about some of those details and some of the backstory, particularly wit ...more

This was a fun little diversion. I always enjoy returning to these characters, even in such a short dose as this.

This was cute. Exactly as advertised, a light, fluffy light novel I didn't need to read too much into. The star lacked character, but otherwise, it was enjoyable. And a quick read, too, as well.

A bit less character-oriented than I typically like my books, but nonetheless a lovely story. Almost fairy tale-esque in its presentation. Not amazing, but enjoyable.

This book was absolutely fascinating. I loved the range of tales told in relation to the elements, from Mendeleev's arrogance to the absolutely amazing phenomenon of sonoluminescence. Some of the stories were more tangentially related to the periodic ...more

This book immediately grabbed me for the setting and narration style, which claimed to be based off Prohibition-era Chicago but felt more like New Orleans to me, which I found even more captivating. It was definitely a fun read, though it read more l ...more
