“Everyone wants the stars. Everyone wishes to grasp that which exists out of reach. To hold the extraordinary in their hands and keep the remarkable in their pockets.”
― Erin Morgenstern, The Starless Sea

“Once, a long time ago, before we knew who we were, we thought we wanted to be like everyone else. How lucky to be exactly who we were.”
― Alice Hoffman, The Book of Magic

“But dreams have ways of turning into nightmares.”
― Erin Morgenstern, The Night Circus

“not all of us were drawn to Prince Charming. Some little girls ate up the stories of ball gowns and castles and knights who slayed the dragon . . . ― Sophie Lark, There Are No Saints
