Is the TV show worth giving a go? I love the books (they're actually the first Sara Shepard books I read), but I heard in the show Sutton is alive and I feel like that ruins the entire point. But I wouldn't say that this book is a chick flick. It does seem like girlie book but its also a murder mystery. There's nothing gory and it doesn't have a lot of romance. I really enjoyed this book, I have also read the rest of the series. I had to know how it ended, these books are what really got me into reading. (less)

His pants stay on and the girlfriend says she does not want to have sex. The girls in this book participate in The Lying Game, where they perform extreme pranks that sometimes may go too far. There isn't any swearing that I remember and it's pretty clean. Ultimately, it's up to you and what you are comfortable reading. Hope that helps!(less)
