I was actually glad that KMM did something authentically Irish here instead of just transplanting American concepts overseas, as she'd been doing before. I found that mildly irritating.(less)

You’ll also learn more of KMM raucous science fiction/ fantasy brain when you see more relics and the lore behind some doomed happenings. Ultimately, KMM over the span of Highlander novels builds an encompassing world where you’ll be fully submerged with all that is Fae. Her world building is thorough! And it began with the Druids!
