To most non-librarians, people who work in a library are "librarians." I'm fine with that. Because people who value libraries and librarians aren't going to value us any less if they have a less exclusive idea of who ought to be included in that kind of appreciation. Just saying. :-)(less)

It reminded me o…moreI have read almost every book on the list, and I actually loved how she had her characters see the books very differently than I did. It reminded me of everyone brings their own experience to a book, and thus their perspective of it will be very different than mine. The perspectives were also different than would be taught in a literature course, which also was good, as most people who have not been in a literature course have different views than the "official" ones (most commonly taught ones). She …moreIt seemed to me that Naina got interrupted in her planning for Mr. P to find the list. I think she died before she could completely carry it out. She sat on the letter, and then put it in A Suitable Boy to flatten out, but perhaps did not mean to leave it there. Since he did not find the list, I think that she did not finish her task.(less)

I haven't read most of them, and still enjoyed the read. It also inspired me to read more again after being in a bit of a slump. Though it should be noted that there are a few spoilers given, if you plan to read the books eventually.(less)
