I have read 1 through to 18 and got this one from the library (thankfully) and am currently reading it. It is slow and has been disappointing so far compared to the others. Feels like a filler for money without consideration to the followers that have enjoyed the series to date. Anyone else?
Amanda I felt the same way! I just finished this one today and thought it just didn’t have the same can’t-put-it-down energy like the rest of them did.

Anyone notice a HUGE mistake in the book? On page 98 Loman has his henchman Dick Russell shoot flunky Lambert and kill him and toss him over the cliff. Then on page 173 Loman gives Russell a gun (after pointing it at him) and asks him to shoot Sloane. Russell says to himself, "He (Russell) had never agreed to shoot anyone - but clearly, this was what Loman had in mind." When 2 people write, I guess this happens.
Becky It was Loman saying he was Russell that killed Lambert.

Did anyone notice that they translated Giovanni as Joe? Giovanni in Italian is John. Joe is Giuseppe.

Have just finished novel and feel that we were short changed one last chapter about antagonist. Am I the only one who felt a little let down? I have read 1 thru 18.

I received this book as a gift, I haven't read the other books in the series, can it be read as a stand alone (before the other books)??
Linsey I have read some of the previous WMC Series books, but not all of them. You will get more of a connection to the characters if you've read more of the…moreI have read some of the previous WMC Series books, but not all of them. You will get more of a connection to the characters if you've read more of the series, but the books do a good job of introducing the characters for people that haven't followed the series. I think any of the books in the series could be read as standalone books though.(less)
