Maybe it's just me, but I think Karin cares about Will just as much as we do.

I'm tired of Angie too, but as far as "evil ex's" go, she's one of my favorites. I'd hate to see this series end, but I have fallen head over heels in love with her standalone novels. I don't know how it would be possible, but I wish there was a way to keep Andrea from Pieces of Her going. I'm totally renewing my Netflix account as soon as the Pieces of Her show comes out.

Sorry...this is long and all over the place. I might be a little too excited for The Last Widow to come out ha. Plus I could talk about KS books all day :)(less)

Why would anyone even WANT to start in the middle of a series? Always go to the beginning. With this series, at least read the Will Trent books in order, but if you REALLY want a good understanding of Sara, start with the Grant County series first. For me, that would be a huge treat to have so many books lined up and ready to go. The most current one will still be here when you get to it!(less)

I don’t think it’s cute how she tries to bulldoze her grown children’s lives, and she was really unfair about Will. (less)

Refer to Page 372 of the Kindle Edition. Dash, the leader of the white supremacist group, is talking with a very nervous Sara AKA "Dr. Earnshaw" in the novel to conceal her true identity to the cult leader. Sara has just spotted Will, who had infiltrated the group. Meanwhile, an unaware Dash is continuing his discourse with Sara. He declares:

“It is my ardent wish, Dr. Earnshaw, that what we’re doing tomorrow will ensure that good white women such as yourself are no longer afraid.” His hand went to her shoulder. “Once the world is wiped clean of the mongrels and their enablers, we will be free of the kind of crime that took your husband away from you. Police officers will be safe on the streets again. Law and order will be restored. You will be the last widow of your kind.”

It is worthwhile to note that the author previously teases the title of the novel earlier on Page 155 of the Kindle Edition. In this scene Dash has questioned Sara about her family and inquires:

“What does your husband do?” Sara realized the truth might be something that could work to her advantage. “I’m a widow. My husband was a cop. He died in the line of duty.”

You are not the first reader to post a question about the Title of one of Slaughter's novels. I have made it a habit to ferret out the meaning behind her titles. I am happy I could answer your question.
