Timothy's ritualized se…moreI agree somewhat with the other readers, especially Francisco who relates being the "best one" to Jasper's fluctuating favour. Timothy's ritualized selection process also reminded me of how younger, articulate autistic children organize their possessions. The whole combustion scenario reminded me intensely of how some autistic children appear to have "meltdowns" when anxious and under pressure, and Lillian's relaxation and training relates to how some autistic kids and adults are taught to self-regulate and defuse their reactions to stressful situations. Just a thought.(less)
