When humans interact with the feed, they subvocalise and their eyes blur, you never hear about them typing into it, which I can only take to mean that all humans have some sort of augment that allows them to interact with it that way. It's fast-paced and not a long read, so it's accessible to slower/weaker readers. If the students are engaged by the story and character, there are 5 more books in the series for them to continue reading. There's a lot of good fodder for classroom discussion, too! How the 1st person perspective works to create empathy. What it means to be "human." How we form our individual identities, and how naming our identities shapes us. (less)
