Does anyone have a good description of what "the feed" looks like or how it's supposed to work? Or maybe even a drawing of it. So confused about how I'm supposed to be imagining it.

So I’m pretty sure the feed is something completely digital, there’s not really any physical evidence of it as far as I can tell. When humans interact with the feed, they subvocalise and their eyes blur, you never hear about them typing into it, which I can only take to mean that all humans have some sort of augment that allows them to interact with it that way.

I picture it like wifi. So... I don't really have an image, I just view it as a form of data transmission similar to modern-day internet/cell phone coverage.

I visualize it like a dicussion/messaging service such as slack or discord - an entity (such as a station or ship) will provide a feed service for people to connect to and within a service you may have public channels and private channels all of which may have on-going or dormant conversations. Conversations can include text, audio, reactions, file sharing, emoji, etc. When participating in conversations, it behooves you to keep in mind who owns the service that your channel is on and thus will ultimately have access to all of data that is shared on the feed.
If you are a non-augmented human you have to have a device to access the feed - so if you are using older tech an example might be a window with a scrolling notification. But humans can't multi-task, so following more than one channel in the feed or paying closer attention to one thing in a particular channel means that you have done the equivalent of picking up your phone at the dinner table and started not paying attention to your current RL surroundings.
